I grew up originally in the Blackwood area, and have been working at the Hills Vet Centre since 2006, where I started as a locum but soon became a permanent member of the team.
It is a fantastic place to work and I feel I have formed a real bond over the years with many clients and their furry friends. It is great having seen new puppies or kittens come in for their 1st vaccinations and now to be able to help them in their senior years!
A couple of years ago I became the Head Nurse and took on some more admin and nurse organisational duties which I really enjoy, but I still love nursing and seeing a variety of pets and the different cases we treat.
I have a black fluffy rescue cat called Lulu who is about 14 years old and only bothers to venture out of her igloo when the sun is shining or the heater is on! Unfortunately she has just been diagnosed with the beginning stage of kidney disease. I am happy to be able to give her the best care under the guidance of vets whom I trust.
I love summer, beer & bbq's, and in my spare time I like going for walks and enjoying nature. I also love to travel (when possible!) and have been lucky enough to encounter some of the awesome wildlife in my husbands home country of South America (this sloth was shown to us by some children who were caring for it and an orphan tigrillo, after their mothers had been killed in the jungle).
